The President of the Hellenic Institute of Byzantine & Post-Byzantine Studies in Venice prof. Vasileios Koukousas and the Director of the National Library of Albania Dr. Pirro Misha signed, on November 25, 2022 in Tirana, a Memorandum of Cooperation.

The two institutes will cooperate in areas of common interest, in terms of academic research and cultural diffusion as well as actively involve in the cultural and artistic life of the two countries.

Mr. Koukousas stated “sure that our decision to walk together in search of the paths of history that brought us closer and not those that have separated us, will lead to a new relationship but also to building up new tools in the fields of knowledge, science and culture. Especially, I have to thank Mr Misha, the Director of the National Library of Albania, for his vision and stable trust. I am ready to follow his example, honoring our peoples’ historical imprint.”
