On Wednesday 17 April, the Greek Ambassador in Rome Eleni Sourani, inaugurated the exhibition entitled “Hellenic heads” of the distinguished sculptor George Petrides. The exhibition was organized by the Greece Embassy in Rome and by the Hellenic Institute of Byzantine and Post-byzantine Studies of Venice, in collaboration with the Honorary Consulate of Greece in Venice, the Greek Orthodox Community of Venice, with the support of the Orthodox Archdiocese in Italy. The exhibition takes place in the “Campo dei Greci” in the courtyard of the Church of Saint George of Greeks. The event was attended by the Greek Deputy Minister of Research and Technology, Christos Dimas, the Vice Minister of Culture of Cyprus, Vassiliki Kassianidou, the Ambassador of Cyprus in Rome, Yiorgos Christofides, the Honorary Consul of Cyprus in Venice, Andrea Falconi, the Honorary Consul of Greece in Venice, Bruno Bernardi, the president of the Hellenic Institute, Vasileios Koukousas, the Canchellor of the Orthodox Archdiocese in Italy Fr. Vissarion, artists, members of the Greek Orthodox Community of Venice and other guests. The exhibition will last until the November 24, 2024.
